For 35 years, Wolfgang Weber has been dedicated to transforming native plants into bonsai, finding beauty in the harmony between nature and artistry. Over time, his passion expanded beyond trees—he began collecting tree discs, crafting tables and stands for bonsai exhibitions, and gradually refining his woodworking skills. Alongside this, he developed a deep appreciation for suiseki (viewing stones) and natural wood sculptures, drawn to their organic forms and hidden narratives.
In 2017, after stepping away from his role as a pastor due to burnout and recurring depression, Wolfgang found solace and renewal in his artistic work. This newfound freedom allowed him to fully explore his creativity, turning personal challenges into a source of growth and inspiration.
His sculptures, shaped by nature itself, often reveal messages of encouragement, resonating not only with him but also with those who encounter them. He places great importance on the titles and stories behind each piece, ensuring that his art speaks to the heart. When exhibiting in spaces where people seek comfort and inspiration, his work serves as a quiet yet powerful presence, offering reflection and hope.
